Dr. Shahamfar joined Balboa Nephrology in 2025 and provides care in the College and Hillcrest areas. She specializes in the diagnosis and management of kidney disease, including glomerular disorders, hypertension, and dialysis care.

After medical school, Dr. Shahamfar moved to California for training. Next, she completed her internal medicine residency at Eisenhower Health Hospital. She then completed her nephrology fellowship at Loma Linda University.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Shahamfar enjoys swimming, practicing yoga, and spending time with her family.
