Dr. Shahbazi joined Balboa Nephrology in 2021 and practices in El Centro and Fountain Valley.

After graduating from medical school, she moved to Canada for training. She completed her internal medicine residency at Queen’s University and her nephrology fellowship at the University of Ottawa. Next, she worked as a nephrologist and Assistant Professor at the University of Ottawa. She later joined the Northern Ontario School of Medicine, where she continued in the same roles for 10 years. She then moved to the United States to be closer to her family.

Dr. Shahbazi is board certified in nephrology in Canada and the United States. She is also a member of the American Society of Nephrology and has been named a Fellow of the American Society of Nephrology (FASN).

Outside of medicine, Dr. Shahbazi enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and traveling.
