Jennifer Winters, MS, AGACNP-BC, joined Balboa Nephrology Escondido October 6, 2025 and has more than 25 years of nursing experience, specializing in critical care with a focus on cardiac and neurosurgical intensive care. She began her career in Massachusetts before working as a traveling nurse in Florida, Hawaii, and California, where she fell in love with the West Coast and decided to make it her home.

She earned her Master of Science in Clinical Nurse Leadership from the University of San Francisco and completed her Post-Master’s Degree at the University of California, San Francisco, becoming a board-certified Acute Care Gerontology Nurse Practitioner.

Jennifer is passionate about delivering compassionate, personalized care and supporting patients and their families through every stage of their health journey. Outside of work, she enjoys reading and spending time outdoors with her dog Seamus.
