Dr. Quinones Vargas joined Balboa Nephrology on October 6, 2025. She grew up on the west side of Puerto Rico and earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Puerto Rico.

Next, she earned her medical degree from Ponce Health Sciences University. She then completed her internal medicine residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. After that, she completed her nephrology fellowship at the University of New Mexico.

Outside of work, Dr. Quinones Vargas enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs, Lupe and Lucca. She also loves movies like Gangs of New York and Chicago, and she is currently enjoying the TV series The Bear.
