Dr. Tepsiri Chongkrairatanakul (“Dr. Chong”) joined Balboa Nephrology in 2018. He practices at Sharp Memorial Hospital and covers the Sharp Metro area. He treats a wide range of kidney conditions, including glomerular disease, hypertension, and dialysis care. In addition, he focuses on kidney stone prevention. He also has a special interest in kidney and pancreas transplantation and is part of the transplant team at Sharp Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Chong earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Mahidol University in Bangkok, Thailand. Next, he completed his internal medicine residency and chief residency at Bassett Medical Center in New York. He then completed a nephrology fellowship at Boston University. After that, he completed a transplant nephrology fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Dr. Chong also served as an Assistant Professor and Associate Program Director for nephrology fellowship training at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He enjoys teaching and supporting physician training.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Chong enjoys cooking Thai food, jogging, and reading with his twin daughters.
