Karynne Ednacot joined Balboa Nephrology in 2024.  She is a San Diego native and graduated Magna Cum Laude from San Diego State University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health, focusing on Health Sciences. She completed the 15-month accelerated nursing program at Roseman University Health Sciences in Henderson, Nevada, earning her second Bachelor’s degree in Nursing in 2016.  Karynne supports the Frost Street clinic in San Diego.

Karynne began her nursing career in Las Vegas, NV, gaining experience in medical-surgical, hemodialysis, and peritoneal dialysis. Since 2018, she has served patients at both the North and South regional clinics in San Diego. She pursued a Master’s degree in Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) from  United States University in San Diego, graduating in 2022. She achieved her FNP-C certification in 2023 while continuing to serve patients full-time.

Outside of work, Karynne enjoys trying new restaurants, new food, exploring the outdoors, traveling, working out at the gym, taking care of her house plants, and reading a thriller or cozy book with a hot tea or iced matcha!
