As we wrap up this year’s Balboa Nephrology Thanksgiving Food Drive, we want to take a moment to say one very important thing:

Thank you.

Because of the generosity of our team and community, we were able to make a meaningful impact for families across San Diego, Orange County, and the Imperial Valley—especially during a season when many are experiencing real hardship.

The Community Impact

Here’s what we accomplished together:

  • 400+ pounds of food collected

    • San Diego: 400 lbs of food donations

    • El Centro / Imperial Valley: a 55-gallon drum overflowing with food

    • Orange County: a cart packed with donated goods

  • $1,110 donated

    • San Diego: $677

    • Orange County: $433

These funds will go toward purchasing canned goods wholesale and tax-free through the respective regional food banks—helping stretch every dollar even further for local families.

Why It Matters

Food insecurity affects more families than many people realize—and it can impact health, well-being, and stability at every age. The food and funds collected through this drive will be distributed by food banks serving our local communities, directly supporting neighbors who need it most.

Whether you donated a few items, filled a bag, contributed funds, or helped encourage others to participate, you played a part in this effort.

Proud to Be Balboa United

It’s moments like these that reflect the best of who we are. Your willingness to give—whether by filling a box, a drum, or a virtual cart—speaks volumes about the heart behind Balboa Nephrology.

From all of us: thank you for showing up for your community. We’re proud to participate in this food drive, and even prouder of the people who made it happen.
