It’s always the right time for chili! On this Foodie Friday, check out this kidney-friendly, slow cooker turkey chili – and send us a picture if you’ve tried it!
Ingredients:
– 1 lb ground turkey
– 1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
– 1 can diced tomatoes
– 1 bell pepper, diced
– 1 small onion, diced
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 tbsp chili powder
– 1/2 tsp cumin
– Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. In a large skillet, cook ground turkey until browned. Drain any excess fat.
2. Add cooked turkey to slow cooker, along with kidney beans, diced tomatoes, bell pepper, onion, garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
3. Stir to combine and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
4. Serve hot and enjoy!
