Dr. Maple Fung joined Balboa Nephrology in March 2025 and practices in the Mission Valley area. She has spent the large part of her career doing clinical research, both at UC San Diego and in the private sector working on clinical drug development through many phases of development and different therapeutic areas.

Dr. Fung attended medical school at the UC San Diego School of Medicine, where she also completed her internal medicine residency and nephrology fellowship.

Outside of medicine and research, Dr. Fung enjoys traveling, working out and spending time with her family.
