Dr. Thompson joined Balboa Nephrology Medical Group in 2009 and practices in the La Mesa area. He specializes in kidney disease and cares for patients receiving hemodialysis at FMC and DaVita Dialysis units.

He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. After that, he completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He then completed his nephrology fellowship at UC San Diego.
