I am a: 2 Time Kidney Transplant Recipient
My Story:

My story started when I was a kid at 13 knowing I had kidney disease.  Months later, my mom wanted to make sure she gave me a normal life, so she gave me one of her kidneys.  That lasted 20 years almost.  Then I needed another one.  I waited for a kidney for 3 years.  Then on August 25, 2013, I got a kidney from a deceased donor.  I have had for almost 9 years.  I have never felt better.  Couple of years in 2019 I was contacted through email from the donor.  Ever since then, we have exchanged emails.  The connection came when I was a volunteer for a Gift of Life event in Michigan.
