It’s March, and we’re celebrating two incredible things this month!
National Kidney Month: A time to raise awareness about kidney health and empower individuals to take control. National Nutrition Month: The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics celebrates its annual National Nutrition Month®. This year’s theme is Beyond the Table. A focus on how healthy eating plays a vital role in overall well-being, including kidney health. Believe it or not, March 13th is Registered Dietitian Nutritionist DAY!
At Balboa Nephrology, we believe these two months go hand-in-hand and we’re grateful for our amazing NEW Renal Dietitian and Health Educator, Min Krishnamurthy MS, RD! She joins our team on this special day, and is ready to empower you with dietary resources to manage your kidney health effectively.
Hi! I’m Min Krishnamurthy, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. I have a Master of Science degree in Nutrition from Bastyr University in Seattle, WA and completed my dietetic internship through Virginia Tech. I am passionate about functional foods, intuitive eating principles and mindfulness through meditation and yoga. I love to travel, especially to experience new cultures and cuisines! During my free time you can usually find me at the beach.
After a successful career in information technology and business consulting, I embarked on a journey to find more fulfillment through my job which led me to the field of dietetics. With a strong belief in the power of preventative medicine through whole foods nutrition, I’m striving to do my part in making the world a healthier, happier place. I especially enjoy providing individual consultations, group health education and content creation, and finding ways to connect with each individual to meet them where they are on their wellness journey.
Min will empower folks to make informed food choices to support good kidney health. Stay tuned for upcoming educational posts and tips throughout the month! Welcome to the Balboa Nephrology Team, Min!
