Balboa Nephrology Medical Group proudly supports National Military Appreciate Month (NMAM). Since 1999 when Senator John McCain introduced legislation to designate the month of May as National Military Appreciation Month, many events across the United States take place to honor those who serve.
May was selected National Military Appreciation Month as a month-long observance honoring the sacrifices of the United States Armed Forces. There are more military related observances during the month of May than any other month, so it is an appropriate time to celebrate the men and women in uniform. NMAM recognizes the more than 90 million Americans who are active duty military members, or in the National Guard and Reserves, and includes retirees, veterans, and their families. Important dates during the month include Loyalty Day , VE Day, Military Spouse Appreciation Day, Armed Forces Day, and Memorial Day.
