Regional Advocacy Training For the Western Region

by | Dec 5, 2023 | Patient Advocacy, Patient Education, Resources

In 2024, many states will have a legislative session and talk about new proposed laws, and as people who care about kidney disease, these sessions are an opportunity to impact kidney disease legislation in your home state.

To help, the American Kidney Fund (AKF) is hosting four regional legislative training sessions in December to review the legislatures that will hold session in 2024 and their kidney policy agenda for the year ahead! Their session for the western states will be held Tuesday, Dec. 12 at 3 p.m. PT, and it will cover 13 states: Washington, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Nevada, California, Oregon, Alaska and Hawaii.

In these trainings, you will get to hear specific information about your state legislature and ways that you can get involved this year. Join them for an hour of skill building, policy discussion and answers to any questions you may have.
Tuesday, Dec. 12, 3-4 p.m. PT
