April is National Donate Life Month and its purpose is to encourage people just like you to register as organ, eye, and tissue donors and to honor those that have saved lives through the gift of donation. Balboa Nephrology was honored to participate in the 2022 Transplant Games here in San Diego this past July. We encouraged attendees to share their transplant stories. We were concerned people may not want to bring up their experiences of profound loss or the challenging times in their life. It was quite the opposite.
